Buying a new home can be an exciting time; it can also be a stressful time. I liken my role as a REALTOR® to that of a Sherpa guide employed by mountain climbers in the Himalayas. The Sherpa are world-renowned for their expertise in mountaineering -- their endurance, knowledge and experience is highly-valued. Vital to most climbing expeditions in the Himalayas, the Sherpa receive little fanfare, the glory of the climb going to those who employ them. And yet without these guides, for most, the climb would have been impossible. The Sherpa accept this role and have built an industry around it.

Excluding the physical danger, avalanches, altitude sickness, and the like, my role in assisting you in the purchase of your new home is similar - to ensure you reach your goal of finding the ideal home. In this partnership, I am an advisor, research assistant and negotiator, providing you with all the details and local knowledge to ensure you are making an informed decision based on solid information. Truthfully, the exact home you end up buying is immaterial to me. City or country, two bedrooms or eight -- I am the impartial, unemotionally-involved party in the process. What is important to me is that the home you buy is right for you.

To find you the right home, we need a plan. We will meet in order to discuss not only what you want in your new home but also for me to have the opportunity to learn about you, your family, budget and long-term goals -- all are important for me to know to best assist you in finding your new home. At times, I may need to be the voice of reason and align dreams with reality. Other times, I may need to be an arbitrator and find compromise if different sets of wants cannot be attained. Fortunately, these are my strengths. I am inquisitive by nature, seeking to understand before offering an opinion. My clients appreciate and respect these qualities. Before any moves are made, I first want to walk in your shoes so that we, together, can turn your new home dream into reality.
